Salary: $15.50 hourly for 30 hours per 30 to 40 hours per week
Employment Type: Full time, Permanent employment
Shift: Night, Weekend, Early Morning
Location: Calgary, AB

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates don’t need standard educational qualifications
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience, training will be provided
Work setting: Hotel, motel, resort
Transportation/travel information: Public transportation is available

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidate should be able to work repetitive tasks, standing for extended periods
  • The candidate should be physically demanding
  • The candidate should pay attention to detail
  • The candidate should able to bending, crouching, kneeling

Other Requirements:

  • The candidate should be who is initiative, reliable and able to work as team player
  • The candidate should have values and ethics, dependability and flexibility

Responsibilities:

  • The candidate should be able to register arriving guests and assign rooms, process group arrivals and departures, take, cancel and change room reservations and also maintain an inventory of vacancies, reservations and room assignments
  • The candidate should be able to provide information on hotel facilities and services, provide general information about points of interest in the area and also provide customer service
  • The candidate should be able to process guests’ departures, calculate charges and receive payments and also balance cash and complete balance sheets, cash reports and related forms
  • The candidate should be able to answer telephone and relay telephone calls and messages and also assist clients/guests with special needs
  • The candidate should be able to investigate and resolve complaints and claims, follow emergency and safety procedures and also clerical duties (i.e. faxing, filing, photocopying)
