Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have completion of a high school diploma
Experience: Candidates should have considerable experience in the relevant field

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should be in good physical condition as the job requires performing manual labor, being able to lift 35 lbs, push and pull heavy objects for prolonged periods of time. It is a physical and sometimes demanding position which requires an enthusiastic and hardworking individual
  • The candidates should be able to multi-task, work well under stress, and meet targeted deadlines
  • The candidates should be flexible and adaptable under changing conditions, priorities, and unexpected situations
  • The candidates should be able to work flexible shifts, weekends, and holidays. This position may require overtime and altered scheduling according to occupancy levels

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should have a valid B.C. driver’s license and possess safe work habits with an awareness of safe work procedures

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to manage and maintain inventory levels in housekeeping storerooms throughout the resort and prepare, receive, and distribute linen deliveries
  • The candidates should be able to deliver and prioritize calls in order of importance and respond to them promptly
  • The candidates should be able to meet or exceed productivity thresholds relative to pre-determined time allotments for specific tasks
  • The candidates should be able to keep lines of communication open and be accountable for their time throughout the day
  • The candidates should be able to report all inventory deficiencies and damages to their supervisor immediately
  • The candidates should be able to confidently adapt from working in a team environment to working independently
  • The candidates should be able to participate in all Occupational Health and Safety standards set for the department
  • The candidates should be able to perform other duties as assigned by the Housekeeping Supervisors or Manager
