Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have completion of Journeyperson certification as an Industrial Mechanic or Electrician
Experience: Candidates should have previous experience working with the maintenance of various types of aerial ropeway equipment

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should have the ability to read blueprints, schematics, field drawings, and plans and high flexibility with strong interpersonal skills that allow them to work effectively in a diverse environment
  • The candidates should have the ability to perform strenuous physical labor and ability to adapt to new technology
  • The candidates should have the ability to stand for extended periods of time and work individually as well as part of a team
  • The candidates should have a high level of integrity and work ethic and ability to respond quickly in a dynamic and changing environment

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should have knowledge of ski lift operations and maintenance requirements and experience with industrial equipment repairs and hold a valid Driver’s License
  • The candidates should be able to effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical members of the organization both verbally and in writing and demonstrate an aptitude for learning new technologies
  • The candidates should have demonstrated time management skills and the ability to prioritize and manage conflicting demands
  • The candidates should be proficient in Microsoft Office programs (including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
  • The candidates should have knowledge of appropriate materials, methods, and tools required in various project and maintenance processes

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to prepare department maintenance budgets and operate within the approved budget and complete analysis of specific maintenance functions and implement recommendations and improvements on processes used and complete timelines for maintenance functions following manufacturer and Panorama Mountain Resort procedures and recommendations
  • The candidates should be able to ensure the safe and reliable delivery of lift services and ensure that the environmental performance of the operations meets or exceeds all relevant standards and manage financial performance, revenue, and cost management and support all aspects of Lift Operations
  • The candidates should be able to provide internal information technology support, software updates, and hardware maintenance pertaining to lift systems and provide technical advice and assistance to employees
  • The candidates should be able to analyze complex business needs presented by the user community and customers, clients and recommend technical solutions and provide technical advice and assistance to employees
  • The candidates should be able to stay informed on new or emerging trends and technologies that provide clear benefits to the resort and evaluate hardware and software to ensure that it meets company requirements
  • The candidates should be able to maintain inspection records and complete inspection reports and perform daily maintenance and safety checks on all equipment and tools and assist in the resolution of design issues, change requests, material defects, and equipment problems
  • The candidates should be able to assist with jobsite administration duties, such as maintaining daily logs and aid in technical projects to ensure compliance with design, project specifications, regulations, and safety codes
  • The candidates should be able to maintain a high level of confidentiality in all interactions and ensure accurate and timely project close dates; help supervisors to adjust working schedules to ensure deadlines are met
  • The candidates should be able to inform the supervisor of the need to order materials and adhere to company policies and standards for cost control, waste reduction, quality, safety, and complete and on-time delivery
  • The candidates should be able to ensure high standards of workmanship and efficiency and adhere to established safe working procedures and always wear the proper safety equipment and document the requirements of end-users
