Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the Bilingual Language
Asset languages: Tagalog
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience although having experience is an asset
Credentials: CPR Certificate, First Aid Certificate, Red Cross Babysitting course
Security and safety: Child Abuse Registry check, Child welfare check, Criminal record check, Vulnerable sector check

Physical Requirements:

• The candidates should be non-smoking and scent-free
• The candidates should be able to handle heavy loads and perform repetitive tasks efficiently
• The candidates should be capable of working under pressure with strong attention to detail
• The candidates should be able to handle weights up to 45 kg (100 lbs)

Other Requirements:

• The candidates should have a strong client focus and possess efficient interpersonal skills
• The candidates should demonstrate excellent oral and written communication
• The candidates should be flexible, show initiative, and exercise good judgment
• The candidates should be organized, reliable, and a team player
• The candidates should have strong time management skills

Candidate Status:

• Canadian citizens and permanent or temporary foreign workers of Canada are eligible for this position
• International Candidates who don’t have a valid Canadian work permit also can apply

Responsibilities:

• The candidates should be able to perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties, shop for food and household supplies, and travel with the family on trips while assisting with child supervision and housekeeping duties
• The candidates should be able to discipline children according to the methods requested by the parents, instruct children in personal hygiene and social development, and keep records of daily activities and health information regarding children
• The candidates should be able to maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home, organize activities such as games and outings for children, and supervise and care for children
• The candidates should be able to take children to and from school and to appointments, and tend to the emotional well-being of children
