Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education:Â Candidates should have completion of PMBIA Level 1 certification
Experience: Candidates should have experience in a customer service role, preferably in a rental or retail establishment
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should have sufficient strength, physical condition, and stamina to conduct mountain bike lessons for extended periods of time
- The candidates should have passion and enthusiasm for mountain culture and biking, and the resort environment
- The candidates should be passionate about instructing and creating a safe and engaging learning environment
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should hold PMBIA Level 2 or 3 would be ideal
- The candidates should possess advanced downhill mountain bike skills
- The candidates should be outgoing with excellent communication skills
- The candidates should have previous sales experience and familiarity with Point of Sale (POS) applications
- The candidates should have cash handling experience
- The candidates should have completed a criminal background check
Responsibilities:
- The candidate should be able to ensure the safety of all students and guests and provide an exceptional mountain experience through professional instruction on a mountain bike
- The candidate should be able to assist guests with sizing and fitting of appropriate mountain bike equipment while maximizing comfort and safety
- The candidate should be able to ensure guest safety by completing waivers for all rentals and describing safe use of rental equipment and contribute to a professional, supportive environment for other Instructors and KHMR staff
- The candidate should be able to provide a consistent friendly and approachable demeanor for customers
- The candidate should be able to handle cash, including cash balancing, coin orders, opening and closing duties
- The candidate should be able to clean gear, bikes, and maintain tidiness and organization of the store
- The candidate should be able to sell retail products in the store clothing, bike parts, and other items
- The candidate should be able to work flexible shifts with varying hours, depending on factors such as weather and visitation levels
- The candidate should be able to engage in daily team meetings, training and other communications necessary to provide a high-quality experience for guests of the resort
- The candidate should be able to work for extended periods in harsh weather conditions (cold, wind, heat and altitude)
