Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates don’t need standard educational qualifications
Experience: Candidates should have experience with working on a construction project in an industrial setting
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should demonstrate knowledge of both hydraulic and pneumatic systems
- The candidates should successfully complete pre-access drug and alcohol testing
- The candidates should have Fall Protection and Confined Space training
- The candidates should be prepared for work primarily outdoors in various weather conditions
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should have rigging experience
- The candidates should possess experience working on pumps, compressors, conveyors, and chute work installations
- The candidates should either have a Journeyperson ticket or be registered in an apprenticeship from a recognized provincial training authority
- The candidates should hold OSSA Regional with CSTS, BSO, or CSO for successful consideration
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to comprehend diagrams, schematic drawings, and manuals to determine work procedures
- The candidates should be able to install turbines, pumps, vessels, and compressors
- The candidates should be able to fit bearings, attach motors, and connect couplings to precise tolerances
- The candidates should be able to perform alignment and testing of equipment, making any necessary adjustments
- The candidates should be able to understand hydraulic, pneumatic, and programmable logic controls
- The candidates should be able to do some tack welding and fabrication as well as maintain an inventory of parts
- The candidates should be able to perform other related duties as assigned
