Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates should have considerable experience in the relevant field
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be legally entitled to work in Canada and provide a satisfactory Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Security Check
- The candidates should provide a satisfactory Child Abuse Registry Check, provide a satisfactory Adult Abuse Registry Check and provide a satisfactory Internal Security Check
- The candidates should have the ability to work independently under minimal supervision and experience dealing with confidential information and sensitive material
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should have experience performing clerical or administrative functions including data entry, triaging and tracking incoming and outgoing mail, stationary inventory control, preparing correspondence, taking meeting minutes, and filing
- The candidates should have experience providing excellent customer service either in person, over the telephone, or by email and experience working in a team environment
- The candidates should have strong interpersonal skills and excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage priorities in a high volume, fast-paced environment
- The candidates should have excellent verbal communication skills, excellent written communication skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
- The candidates should have successfully completed a recognized secretarial, administrative assistant training program, or have an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to provide secretarial duties for the HCC, ensuring smooth administrative operations
- The candidates should exercise good judgment when dealing with people, whether in person or on the telephone, and refer them to the appropriate person or office
