Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates should have minimum 2 years of management experience

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to provide a top-tier shopping experience for Home Depot customers, addressing needs promptly and resolving complaints efficiently and utilize the racetrack method to ensure proactive customer service and coach associates and department supervisors in its effective use
  • The candidates should be able to train associates to deliver high-quality customer service and participate in store events and schedule sufficient staff to meet customer demand across all areas of responsibility
  • The candidates should be able to staff specialty areas adequately for scheduled appointments and immediate customer and ensure satisfaction of Special Order or Install customers, recruiting and placing sales associates with suitable skills
  • The candidates should be able to drive productivity on the sales floor by balancing staffing with customer demand and communicate store objectives clearly to associates and provide coaching and feedback for performance improvement
  • The candidates should be able to prepare and lead communication of store sales, events, and promotions through the Chalk Talk process and and monitor departmental sales goals and make hiring, termination, promotion, and pay rate recommendations to the store manager
  • The candidates should be able to demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of Home Depot programs and services, training associates accordingly and inventory reports to maintain department profitability and address issues and lead associates in problem-solving, anticipate store needs, and manage daily operational tasks including safety audits and emergency responses
  • The candidates should be able to develop and communicate store standards for customer service and collaborate on sales and profitability strategies with the store manager and other assistant store managers and assess training needs and implement plans for improvement related to sales, product knowledge, and customer service
  • The candidates should be able to ensure adherence to safety protocols and standards outlined in Home Depot Canada’s Environmental Health and Safety Management system and perform additional duties as assigned by the Store Manage
