Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates don’t need standard educational qualification such as high school, bachelor’s degree, a certificate or a diploma
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience although having experience is an asset

Other Requirements:

  • The candidate should be of 23 years or more
  • The candidate should have a License – Class/Type and a G Driver’s License

Responsibilities:

  • The candidate should be responsible for loading orders into an assigned company vehicle and following a scheduled route to ensure all deliveries are made in a safe and timely manner as scheduled and also be responsible for delivering orders to various Customers’ homes within a specific geographical area
  • The candidate should be able to work with the Gold Store online grocery team to ensure successful and on time delivery of customer orders to Bronze Stores, pick up sites & Customers
  • The candidate should be able to protect company vehicles by conducting required daily and vehicle circle checks, maintaining fuel levels, and following maintenance and reporting procedures. Immediately reports any deficiencies or damage and also operate company vehicles in various road conditions safe and responsible manner and ensures the vehicle is clean, tidy and well cared for
  • The candidate should be able to follow predetermined scheduled delivery routes for Bronze store delivery, pick up sites and varying routes for Customer home deliver as required by home delivery orders and also operate the vehicle under control at all times in accordance with the company safety policies and procedures and highway rules and regulations
  • The candidate should be able to load product onto the vehicle while ensuring it is properly loaded in the assigned vehicle, loaded, received, and orders are filled and shipped to customers accurately, meeting all food quality standards and processed in a timely manner to maximize efficiency and customer satisfaction and also deliver groceries to customers or business individual addresses depending on order requirements (This may include stairs, elevators or other requirements to get to customer required location).
  • The candidate should be able to keep teams informed on the progress and offers feedback throughout their route by reporting clear and accurate information, as required and also be knowledgeable about our service and promotes the business and products positively at all times
  • The candidate should be able to unload deliveries to the assigned store, validate the correct number of totes being delivered, hand over the driver manifest and customer invoices to the bronze store OSA and also get POD from store, collects returns, totes and paperwork from previous days deliveries and loads into vehicle
  • The candidate should be able to return to designated location back at the gold store and also deliver customer orders to customers residence or business and places the bagged groceries into the customer’s entrance
  • The candidate should be able to take appropriate steps to ensure personal safety when delivering groceries and navigating the various hazards including, customer pets, wearing appropriate clothing for the weather, and donning any appropriate personal protection equipment such as a safety vest and following all safety guidelines and also review order with customer, reviews substitutions chosen on behalf of the customer and completes the return of any item not accepted on the hand-held device
  • The candidate should be able to supports any issues to resolution and also work cooperatively as a team with peers, completing other duties as assigned including working in stores as required picking products and fulfilling online orders (No driver premium will be paid while fulfilling these duties. For the GTA time fulfilling orders will be limited)
  • The candidate should be flexible in completing /adjusting to work assignments based on customer requests and meeting daily delivery schedules and also attend and participate in meetings as required
  • The candidate should be able to demonstrate a commitment to the mission and values of the organization through the use of effective teamwork and also understand that our business is focused on satisfying and exceeding the needs of our customers but also balancing those expectations with the needs of the organization and personal safety
