Requirements:
Languages:Â Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience although having experience is an asset
Computer and technology knowledge:Â Electronic Cash Register, Interact Machine, Price Scanner
Security and safety:Â Criminal record check and Reference required
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, be able to work under pressure, and be attentive to detail
- The candidates should be able to handle a combination of sitting, standing, and walking, be capable of standing for extended periods, and be able to perform tasks involving bending, crouching, and kneeling
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should be accurate in their work, have excellent oral communication skills, and be flexible in adapting to different tasks and schedules
- The candidates should be strong team players, be reliable in meeting job responsibilities, and be dependable in fulfilling assigned duties
- The candidates should demonstrate maturity in handling workplace situations
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to operate cash register, process money, cheques, and credit/debit card payments, and scan items
- The candidates should be able to tabulate total payment for goods or services required, receive payment for goods or services, and calculate daily/shift payments received and reconcile with total sales
- The candidates should be able to stock shelves and clean counter area, greet customers, and provide customer service
- The candidates should be able to monitor all entrances and exits and request proof of payment when necessary
- The candidates should be able to participate in promotional activities
