Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience although having experience is an asset
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
- If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to operate a cash register proficiently, process money, cheques, and credit/debit card payments accurately
- The candidates should be able to tabulate the total payment for goods or services required with precision, receive payment for goods or services promptly and courteously, and calculate daily/shift payments received and reconcile them with total sales effectively
- The candidates should be able to stock shelves and maintain a clean counter area efficiently, greet customers warmly and assist them as needed, and wrap or place merchandise in bags securely
- The candidates should be able to provide excellent customer service at all times, calculate foreign currency exchange accurately if necessary and verify the age of customers when selling lottery tickets, alcohol, or tobacco products responsibly
