Physical Requirements:
- The candidate should be able to work in a fast-paced environment
- The candidate should be able to work independently
- The candidate should be able to handle moderate physical demands such as standing for 8 hours, lift medium-size merchandise if required etc
Other Requirements:
- The candidate should have skills for interacting with customers and managing all transactions efficiently and accurately while working with the computerized system.
- The candidate should love dealing with people for being a great cashier
- The candidate should have strong mathematical skills and basic computer system knowledge
- The candidate should be able to work with customer satisfaction-oriented
- The candidate should have strong communication and time management skills
- The candidate should have problem-solving and decision-making skills
- The candidate having experience as a retail cashier can be said as an asset
Responsibilities:
- The candidate needs to have skills for daily customer interfaces that lead to overall customer satisfaction and will impact if the customers will choose to shop at Kent.
- The candidate needs to process customer transactions through cash registers
- The candidate needs to operate scanners and credit card/debit card terminals
- The candidate needs to provide excellent customer service
- The candidate needs to collect payments and bag purchases for customers
- The candidate needs to keep the checkout area clean and orderly
- The candidate needs to maintain Front End Department Merchandise
- The candidate needs to assist other departments and functions as required
- The candidate needs to adhere to, and implement all applicable company standards
