Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving, and adhering to safety policies in all work environments or areas with employees, contractors, and site visitors, to attend safety meetings, meet with Ministry of Labor staff on site, and promote a safety culture and to work with Lafarge’s environmental team to ensure compliance with laws and policies
- The candidates should be able to take ownership of new safety initiatives and implement them across Lafarge’s business and promote Lafarge’s Health and Safety policies daily, co-responsible for the preparation and implementation of a business plan and annual financial budget with respect to costs and benefits
- The candidates should be able to actively contribute to the implementation of Lafarge’s health and safety programs and measures and responsible for resource forecasts for the business unit according to the established schedule
- The candidates should be able to distribute and review monthly financial reports and KPIs with the entire team and work closely with the BMQ team and market sector to develop a professional approach to operations management
- The candidates should be able to products are supplied in a timely manner according to customer specifications and drive blend optimization and ensure that assets and equipment are properly maintained and implement preventive maintenance plans
- The candidates should be able to work with the BMQ Solutions Operations team to establish and implement methods to improve productivity, safety, quality, and service, research and recommend potential acquisitions in the market area, learn to work closely with the Customer Service Representative on duty, negotiate transportation prices for production, and work with brokers to ensure positive results
- The candidates should be able to work with Lafarge Canada Purchasing group to identify group savings and work under the supervision of the Director of Operations of BMQ Solutions and promote the achievement of annual operational budgets for all sites and the global area and participate in detailed monthly operational forecasts
- The candidates should be able to promote and encourage Safety Leadership and Performance according to Lafarge guidelines and support and ensure the sustainability of the ISO 9002 quality system, work closely with the Operations Director, Sales Director, BMQ RMX operations team, and Quality Director and actively participate in environmental and land regulatory compliance
- The candidates should be able to achieve targeted KPIs safety, service, volumes, value-added products) and help in optimizing trucking and logistics implement TOP Performance modules on site, produce and update Safety Data Sheets (SDS) with the CANWRITE PROGRAM (CCOHS) for formulated products
- The candidates should be able to support and participate with the marketing department in developing technical sheets and presentations for the promotion of bagged products, identify and participate in the development of Capex projects and participate in the management and development of staff performance
