Requirements:
Languages:Â Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 2 years
Credentials:Â Child development worker (ECE level 2)
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should excel in oral communication and demonstrate flexibility in their work
- The candidates should be known for their reliability
Candidate Status:
- Canadian citizens and permanent or temporary foreign workers of Canada are eligible for this position

Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to develop and implement child-care programs supporting the holistic development of children
- The candidates should be able to supervise staff, trainees, or volunteers and lead activities, including storytelling, song teaching, and local excursions
- The candidates should be able to order supplies and equipment, provide opportunities for children’s creativity, and guide them in proper habits
- The candidates should be able to observe children for signs of potential issues, prepare reports for parents or supervisors, and have knowledge of the Day Nurseries Act and licensing regulations
- The candidates should be able to establish behavior guidelines, assess children’s abilities and needs, and discuss progress or problems with parents and staff
- The candidates should be able to attend staff meetings, establish collaborative relationships, plan and maintain a child-friendly environment, and organize activities for school-age children
- The candidates should be able to supervise and coordinate activities of other early childhood educators and assistants
