Salary: $23.00 hourly for 30 to 40 hours per week

Location: North Vancouver, BC
Shifts: Day, Evening, Morning

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as College/CEGEP
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience although having experience is an asset
Credentials: Early Childhood Education (ECE) Certificate

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should be prepared for a combination of sitting, standing, and walking during their work duties
  • The candidates should be capable of bending, crouching, and kneeling as necessary for the job

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should be punctual, reliable, and a team player
  • The candidates should be flexible and adaptable team players
  • The candidates should be reliable and punctual team players

Candidate Status:

  • Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
  • Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
  • If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to develop and implement child-care programs that support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children, as well as guide and assist children in the development of proper eating, dressing, and toilet habits
  • The candidates should be able to lead activities by telling or reading stories, teaching songs, and taking children to local points of interest, as well as encourage children to express creativity through the media of art, dramatic play, music, and physical activity
  • The candidates should be able to observe children for signs of potential learning or behavioral problems and prepare reports for parents, guardians, or supervisors, while also establishing and maintaining collaborative relationships with co-workers and community service providers working with children
  • The candidates should be able to plan and maintain an environment that protects the health, security, and well-being of children
