Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have a completed 2 year diploma in Records Management or Applied Management or related area
Experience: Candidates should have at least 8 years of experience in supervising a team, administration of government programs related to access and privacy, legislative duties and corporate records management and leading large corporate projects

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should possess a degree in Public Administration or related field, along with 5 years’ experience in government program administration, privacy legislation, and project leadership
  • The candidates should have intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to work independently or within a team in a fast-paced environment
  • The candidates should demonstrate expertise in government program administration, privacy compliance, and project leadership, providing essential services in a dynamic market
  • The candidates should combine strong educational background and practical experience to effectively contribute to the company’s objectives

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to provide leadership, management, consultation, and direction to a team of professionals and subject matter experts in delivering operational and strategic information management initiatives to the Operational Services Department
  • The candidates should be able to supervise delegated responsibilities of the City Clerk’s office to this functional area and perform delegated responsibilities of the team if required and able to turn strategy into action using best practices, cost-effective tactics, and innovative tools
  • The candidates should be able to provide leadership to a team of professionals including recruiting, hiring, performance management, and recognition and able to support employees through mentorship, coaching, performance development, and career dialogues
  • The candidates should be able to coordinate compliance for Operational Services, including physical and electronic records, ensuring full compliance with privacy legislation, other regulations, and corporate governance standards
  • The candidates should be able to lead the development and monitoring of the records management strategic work plan for the Information Management section of the Operational Services department
  • The candidates should be able to lead effective risk assessment policies and procedures to prioritize work projects that support the life cycle management of information
  • The candidates should be able to lead a program review and design of the organizational structure of information management and governance within Operational Services and provide recommendations to management, requiring significant communication and partner relations
  • The candidates should be able to develop and maintain proficiency and understanding of existing legislation, bylaws, and policies related to records and privacy management and able to report on budget performance and develop budget requests through the business planning mechanisms
  • The candidates should be able to build partnerships and act as the collaborative leader for corporate and departmental programs and initiatives with other departmental management teams, coordinating, championing, and influencing program requirements and initiatives
