Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates should have a minimum of 3 months of experience as a Panorama Mountain Resort lift operator

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should have the ability to foster excellent guest relations and promote positive interactions with guests
  • The candidates should have the ability to promote teamwork, motivate themselves, and others
  • The candidates should have knowledge of lift operation standards, safety policies, and emergency procedures

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should successfully complete the lift operations orientation/training session and exam
  • The candidates should have excellent attendance, punctuality, and always follow Panorama Mountain Village Policies and Procedure

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to oversee the daily setup, maintenance, and closure of chair lifts and lift areas
  • The candidates should be able to lead operators in ensuring punctual daily setup, operation, and closing while maintaining safety and appearance standards
  • The candidates should be able to complete daily lift logs, training logs, and accident, incident, and safety reports in a timely manner, fulfill lift operator duties during operator breaks or absences
  • The candidates should be able to maintain cleanliness around assigned lift areas, including collecting garbage from lift areas, receptacles, and under lift lines
  • The candidates should be able to ensure lift stations are stocked with necessary supplies and tools for operation, assist with the closure of runs and perform other assigned duties
  • The candidates should be able to assist with operator training and provide daily performance feedback
  • The candidates should be able to actively direct the safe and efficient loading and unloading of guests of all ability levels through clear communication and decision-making
  • The candidates should be able to perform daily pre-operational inspections of lift machinery and accurately complete legal lift-log documents, reporting any irregularities to lift maintenance
  • The candidates should be able to administer emergency procedures efficiently, including lift breakdown, evacuation, fire, avalanche, and accident reporting
