Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be able to establish and maintain cooperative work relationships and work independently and without direct supervision
- The candidates should be experts at safely and properly brazing refrigerant lines and components
- The candidates should be able to complete other duties, including special projects, as assigned by management and comply with and follow all safety regulations and protocols
- The candidates should be available for after-hours calls during regular working days and be willing to work a rotational schedule of stores, covering off peers on weekends and statutory holidays
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should exemplify the 7-Eleven values and leadership principles and diagnose, repair, and maintain physical structures, equipment, and systems associated with the Company by driving to various locations and using hand tools, power tools, replacement parts, and procedures to complete assigned work tasks, including working outside on buildings and roofs
- The candidates should utilize outside contractors to complete repairs and schedule and prioritize duties and work assignments on a daily basis and complete required reports and paperwork daily to account for time and the use of parts and materials
- The candidates should observe and inspect equipment to determine if servicing or further action and knowledge of HVAC installation, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance
- The candidates should be experts in using hand and power tools applicable to the job and knowledge of refrigerant recovery and the safe disposal of refrigerant and perform preventative maintenance according to published guidelines and read, understand, follow, and enforce safety procedures
- The candidates should have a working knowledge of HVAC or associated systems employing computer-based monitoring and control devices and knowledge of mechanical or electrical equipment, plumbing, utilities, distribution systems, and controls, including maintenance and troubleshooting and experts in repairing or replacing building mechanical systems components, including programmable logic controls
- The candidates should be able to use computer-based monitoring or control devices in maintaining and troubleshooting HVAC systems and possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- The candidates should be able to assign work to and oversee the work of direct service providers in the HVAC trade and understand and carry out oral and written instructions and possess a Provincial or Red Seal Journeyperson certification in Refrigeration and show leadership in various settings and situations
- The candidates should provide peer-to-peer technical support and demonstrate effective communication skills, experience in project management and be open to stretch assignments
- The candidates should take ownership of facility locations and lead the team during meetings and projects and fill in for the Assistant Facility Manager (AFM) during vacations and absences
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to take on a leadership role over all assigned HRT Maintenance Tech I and Tech II roles, ensuring effective team management and support
- The candidates should be able to oversee technician training and processes, ensuring all team members are well-equipped to perform their roles
- The candidates should be able to manage inventory, ensuring that all necessary parts and supplies are available for maintenance tasks
- The candidates should be able to handle work order and part management, streamlining processes for efficiency
- The candidates should be able to establish customer service expectations, ensuring high-quality service delivery
- The candidates should be able to manage call priority and routing, optimizing response times and service efficiency
- The candidates should be able to oversee company vehicle management, ensuring proper maintenance and usage
- The candidates should be able to evaluate training processes quarterly, providing necessary feedback to identify opportunities for continuous improvement
- The candidates should be able to assist with the creation of future IHM training programs, contributing to the ongoing development of the team
