Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have educational qualifications such as High School/GED
Experience: Candidates should have 3+ years experience in the relevant field

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should hold a valid Refrigeration/Electrician/Plumbing/Appliance Journeyman level license issued by the province in which the work is performed
  • The candidates should demonstrate leadership skills and provide peer-to-peer tech support
  • The candidates should possess effective communication skills and have experience in project management and handling stretch assignments
  • The candidates should take ownership of facility location and demonstrate the ability to lead the team, including leading meetings and projects

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to respond to work orders for a wide variety of in-store equipment, including minor repairs of HVAC systems, refrigeration units, hot beverage equipment (coffee, and cappuccino), cold beverage equipment (tea, fountain and drinks), fountain/backroom ice makers, hot food equipment (fryers, griddles, and ovens), roller grills, warmers, and fuel dispensers (printers, displays, and card readers)
  • The candidates should be able to respond to work orders related to plumbing, electrical, and general maintenance issues
  • The candidates should be able to perform minor repairs and replacements of ‘plug and play’ equipment as needed
  • The candidates should be able to demonstrate at least 50% proficiency in Tech II duties and responsibilities, which may include more complex repairs and maintenance tasks
  • The candidates should be able to prioritize and complete service calls efficiently to ensure minimal disruption to store operations
  • The candidates should be able to communicate effectively with store personnel and Area Facilities Manager to provide updates on service calls and equipment status
  • The candidates should be able to adhere to safety protocols and guidelines while performing maintenance and repair tasks
  • The candidates should be able to maintain accurate records of service calls, repairs, and equipment inventory
  • The candidates should be able to demonstrate strong problem-solving skills to diagnose issues and implement effective solutions in a timely manner
  • The candidates should be able to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team when necessary to complete tasks efficiently and effectively
