Experience: Candidates should have 5-8 years of related experience
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should have a minimum of 3 years of experience in supervisory roles
- The candidates should possess a good understanding and working knowledge of the applicable legislation and regulations for Mines and Mining Plants
- The candidates should be self-starters who are able to anticipate needs and work independently with minimal supervision
- The candidates should be highly organized with exceptional attention to detail, able to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced, growing work environment
- The candidates should demonstrate a high level of energy, self-motivation, and strong organizational skills
- The candidates should have excellent interpersonal skills together with an ability to facilitate commitment to a cooperative team effort
- The candidates should possess good communication skills, both orally and written, with both internal and external contacts, and the ability to work with all levels of the organization
- The candidates should have proficiency in Microsoft Office programs
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to plan, communicate, and follow work for their assigned mechanical team and able to ensure compliance with safety standards and practices within their team
- The candidates should be able to provide guidance, coaching, and mentorship to members of the crew
- The candidates should be able to hold themselves and crew members accountable towards attainment of safety and performance targets
- The candidates should be able to perform workplace inspections and plan corrective measures if required and able to report work planned and realized daily using the tools provided
- The candidates should be able to conduct monthly HS meetings with crews, presenting the provided material and able to answer queries and handle requests related to maintenance mechanical
- The candidates should be able to maximize equipment utilization and minimize downtime and able to prepare reports and complete documentation related to mechanical tasks
- The candidates should be able to collaborate with procurement to purchase equipment for current and future needs
- The candidates should be able to provide assistance to the General Foreman and Superintendent in the hiring of mechanics
- The candidates should be able to complete time entry, vacation requests, and scheduling and able to perform any other task as directed by their direct supervisor
