Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have completion of College Diploma (2 years)
Experience: Candidates should have minimum four years of related supervisory experience, preferably gained in a customer service focused, unionized environment

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should have training and experience utilizing modern parking techniques and methodologies
  • The candidates should have experience as a Municipal Law Enforcement Officer for issuing parking infraction notices and towing vehicles
  • The candidates should have knowledge of the University’s St. George campus
  • The candidates should be approachable, effective communicators and demonstrate courteous behavior
  • The candidates should exhibit responsibility, excel in problem-solving and self-directed

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to supervise non-USW bargaining unit employees, including scheduling staff and providing training and coaching to casual staff
  • The candidates should be able to investigate parking-related violations and escalate sensitive or complex cases to management for resolution
  • The candidates should be able to follow rules and procedural instructions when tagging, towing, and issuing warning tags for illegally parked vehicles
  • The candidates should be able to provide detailed explanations on parking and ticketing procedures to stakeholders
  • The candidates should be able to determine alternatives for temporary parking and conduct site checks of parking lots
  • The candidates should be able to apply established standards when enforcing parking protocols
  • The candidates should be able to interpret and apply rules to determine the best course of action for operational issues related to parking
  • The candidates should be able to generate standard financial reports and reconcile funds collected from parking ticket dispensers on a regular basis
