Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have educational qualifications such as a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy
Experience: Candidates should have considerable experience in the relevant field
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should be active or eligible for registration with the Alberta College of Pharmacy (ACP)
- The candidates should obtain Additional Prescribing Authorization (APA) from the Alberta College of Pharmacy
- The candidates should have 1 year, effective from their original AHS hire date, to achieve APA status for new Pharmacy graduates
- The candidates should demonstrate excellent communication (both written and verbal) and interpersonal skills
- The candidates should possess good organizational and problem-solving skills
- The candidates should show self-directed learning and commitment to continuing education
- The candidates should exhibit good time management skills, including the ability to switch priorities and multitask
- The candidates should be self-motivated and able to work both independently and cooperatively in a team environment
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to be responsible for the safe, effective, and efficient preparation and distribution of pharmaceutical services
- The candidates should be able to manage medication therapy for patients, both initially and on an ongoing basis
- The candidates should be able to provide assessment, intervention, and resolution of potential or actual drug-related problems
- The candidates should be able to oversee activities related to compounding and packaging
Benefits:
