Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have completion of a Red Seal Certification as a Construction and Maintenance Electrician (309A)
Experience: Candidates should have a minimum of five (5) years of practical experience working in the trade as an electrician since the date of license
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should have highly effective communication, presentation, and organizational skills, with demonstrated flexibility and ability to adapt to change and provide evidence of commitment to the success of all learners
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should have demonstrated knowledge and experience in the use of educational technologies; experience in the development and delivery of hybrid and online curriculum
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to deliver regularly scheduled instruction during the Fall, Winter, or Summer terms
- The candidates should be able to ensure student awareness of course learning outcomes and evaluation techniques
- The candidates should be able to provide tutoring and academic advising to students both in and out of class
- The candidates should be able to create a learning environment that effectively utilizes available resources, including educational technologies and the College-approved Learning Management System
- The candidates should be able to evaluate student progress and assume responsibility for the overall assessment of student work within assigned courses
- The candidates should be able to develop and maintain a learning environment conducive to student success
- The candidates should be able to provide guidance to students, instructors, and part-time professors related to teaching assignments
