Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Bachelor’s degree in the relevant field
Experience: Candidates should have a minimum of four years of recent and related experience in a post-secondary environment

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidate should be able to work at a computer for extended periods, handling communication tasks, drafting documents, and managing emails
  • The candidate should be able to attend meetings and events on campus, which may involve standing or sitting for periods
  • The candidate should be capable of collaborating with various stakeholders, including students, faculty, and staff, in an office environment
  • The candidate should be able to move within the campus to attend meetings, events, or coordinate with different departments

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should have experience in providing front-line student services and detailed information on programs of study and other related information through both face-to-face and digital media
  • The candidates should demonstrate experience in providing administrative support to undergraduate programs, including entering student data and preparing reports, coordinating room assignments, and maintaining files and records
  • The candidates should have demonstrated experience coordinating timetable and exam schedules
  • The candidates should possess experience coordinating and implementing creative communication initiatives, preferably in a non-profit or academic environment
  • The candidates should have experience administering social media platforms and writing for a web audience
  • The candidates should be familiar with posting, tagging, and sharing procedures in popular social media platforms (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, Reddit, etc.)
  • The candidates should have experience organizing the logistics of meetings and special events
  • The candidates should have experience interpreting, applying, and advising on rules, guidelines, and procedures
  • The candidates should possess excellent communication (oral and written) and interpersonal skills with the ability to promptly respond to inquiries with clarity
  • The candidates should demonstrate time-management skills with the ability to effectively prioritize, multi-task, and organize work, meeting tight deadlines while paying attention to detail
  • The candidates should exhibit skills and ability to provide effective guidance and advice to students in a responsive, empathetic, thoughtful, and discreet manner
  • The candidates should have advanced skills with Microsoft Office (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • The candidates should have intermediate experience using ROSI, ROSI Express, Degree Explorer, Quercus, or similar student information systems, to enter data, retrieve information, and compile reports
  • The candidates should demonstrate a strong student service orientation and experience fostering equity, diversity, and inclusion in a post-secondary environment

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to disseminate event and program-related information
  • The candidates should maintain information on digital platforms
