Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates should have 1 – 2 years of supervising experience

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to report to the Transportation Manager and oversee the operation of the Live Haul Wash Bay
  • The candidates should be able to manage, supervise, and monitor a team of 18 employees operating on a three-shift Monday to Friday standard work schedule
  • The candidates should be able to handle personnel management tasks such as scheduling, training, talent development, payroll, and maximizing the success of the team
  • The candidates should be able to provide daily supervision, direction, and scheduling of employees, including staff recruitment and selection
  • The candidates should be able to train employees in duties and policies and evaluate personnel performance
  • The candidates should be able to efficiently execute truck and trailer washing schedules and ensure equipment is maintained in a safe condition
  • The candidates should be able to arrange repair and maintenance work on equipment with vendors
  • The candidates should be able to ensure the execution of the MLF HSE program for the team and ensure team compliance with Maple Leaf Foods’ bio-security protocol
  • The candidates should be able to prepare and submit necessary reports related to the operation of the Live Haul Wash Bay
