Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have completion of a Bachelor’s Degree
Experience: Candidates should have a minimum of three years of experience advising and supporting individuals with career transitions and active job searches

  • The candidates should have experience and knowledge of online facilitation, adult learning principles, educational technologies, digital, social media use, online learning concepts, and learning outcomes
  • The candidates should have knowledge of workplace standards, recruitment and hiring practices, occupations, current labour market conditions, and performance management techniques, preferably gained through a role in a metrics-oriented co-operative education or internship program, or a specialist recruitment function in human resources
  • The candidates should have excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively and empathetically with a diverse university student population and a genuine desire to meet the needs of students
  • The candidates should have strong interpersonal, facilitation, and coaching skills, with a student-focused commitment to service delivery and achieving targets and demonstrate a commitment to equity, diversity, inclusion, and the promotion of a respectful and collegial learning and working environment
  • The candidates should have strong computer skills, including proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, as well as the ability to source information and data using the internet and social media sites such as LinkedIn
  • The candidates should possess active listening skills with a proven ability to motivate and engage students to achieve results

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to develop and implement plans to enhance student engagement activities, advise and coach students on the selection of appropriate work-integrated learning opportunities
  • The candidates should be able to advise students on specific employer expectations and the preparation of cover letters and resumes
  • The candidates should be able to advise students and employers on options to resolve work-term issues
  • The candidates should be able to implement plans and process improvements for program and service activities
  • The candidates should be able to facilitate educational workshops and seminars, draft and edit training content and stay well-informed on recruitment trends
