Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates don’t need standard educational qualifications
Experience: Candidates should have previous experience handling cash, debit and credit card transactions

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should have the ability to work outdoors for extended periods and in all weather conditions, including sun, heat, wind, cold, and rain
  • The candidates should have the ability to stand or be stationary for extended periods of time and minimum age requirement of 18 years
  • The candidates should be available to work all 18 days of the fair (August 16 – September 2, 2024)
  • The candidates should be available to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends and attend a mandatory orientation session

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should have a friendly disposition and confident and assertive and provide a Police Record Check as part of the application process
  • The candidates should demonstrate enthusiasm and possess conflict resolution skills and required to dress in appropriate uniform as specified
  • The candidates should possess strong customer service skills, basic computer skills, problem-solving skills, self-motivation skills and strong communication skills
  • The candidates should have proficiency in cash handling skills, demonstrate accountability and possess attention to detail

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to greet guests warmly and courteously, addressing questions regarding ticket pricing in a friendly manner
  • The candidates should be able to efficiently process ticket transactions using a computerized cash register, handling cash, debit, and credit card payments accurately
  • The candidates should be able to direct and assist guests in using self-service kiosks for ticket transactions, providing guidance
  • The candidates should be able to answer basic inquiries from guests about programming, attractions, facilities, and services in a clear and informative manner
