Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have completion of a Foot Care Certificate
Experience: Candidates should have seniors health experience

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should have active directory status on the Alberta Health Care Aide Directory and home care experience
  • The candidates should be nursing students currently enrolled in an approved Alberta nursing program who have successfully completed a minimum of 100 hours of practicum and are either in their 1st year of a practical nursing program or 2nd year of a baccalaureate nursing or psychiatric nursing program

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to provide personal assistance and support activities of daily living for patients (clients, residents) requiring short-term or ongoing support
  • The candidates should be able to offer comfort and support services to patients, working closely with patients, families, and caregivers across home, community, or health care facilities
  • The candidates should be able to provide safe, quality patient and family-centered care, reflecting the shared vision and values of AHS

Benefits:

  • The candidates will get a Remote Retention Allowance in place to an annual maximum of $3000.00
