Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should have solid knowledge of core data and key business objectives of the primary team(s) supported and familiar with the role and interactions with other teams and the available avenues of support
  • The candidates should understand the Loyalty and AC business and how their work contributes value and relational data warehouse skills SQL and experience in mining data from these warehouses
  • The candidates should be proficient in using and developing business intelligence tools Power BI and an understanding of direct marketing theory experimental design) and marketing program measurement
  • The candidates should have expertise in defining data-driven customer strategies based on analytics and insights, including lifecycle approaches, segmented messages, and offers
  • The candidates should be able to interpret research, extract, and communicate insights focused on business results and capable of developing a deep understanding of Air Canada’s data assets and identifying opportunities for improvements and development
  • The candidates should drive innovation throughout the insights process by proactively seeking out new, innovative, and agile analytics techniques and a statistical coding expert, ideally in a Dataiku or Snowflake environment with Python or PySpark
  • The candidates should have a strong demonstrated background in applied statistical analysis, specifically targeted marketing applications and signal generation and advanced modeling and machine learning experience and possess strong oral and written skills to communicate complex data and analysis in a simple manner
  • The candidates should have attention to detail, excellent analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills, with a natural interest in understanding and explaining consumer behavior
  • The candidates should have good client liaison skills, able to work collaboratively and in partnership to deliver high-quality data solutions and respond resourcefully and show nimbleness when faced with new challenges and demands and strong business acumen
  • The candidates should have a bachelor’s and analytics and data science experience, with CRM/Loyalty experience and experience in the travel, retail, financial, or loyalty sector

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to run existing code and processes according to pre-defined specifications
  • The candidates should be able to develop analytic solutions to business problems with familiar data sets, with limited guidance
  • The candidates should be able to provide analytical outputs, including insights and summaries, delivered in PowerPoint slides or Power BI reports
  • The candidates should be able to maintain segmentations and trackers autonomous and self-motivated, which is critical to succeed in this role
  • The candidates should be able to design and present regular analyses, such as campaign results, with limited guidance
  • The candidates should be able to provide initial information for most internal questions from their business area and responsible for day-to-day contact with their business area on BAU work
  • The candidates should able to contribute and ask questions at team meetings, with their workload to support internal team members
  • The candidates should be able to provide cover for absent team members for structured tasks and quality-check standard analyses for colleagues
  • The candidates should able to manage their own workload effectively and flag to their manager any issues around volume or deadlines for prioritization and management with business stakeholders and participate in short-term analytics planning sessions with business stakeholders
