Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 2 years

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should be able to work in a fast-paced environment, perform repetitive tasks, and work under pressure
  • The candidates should have manual dexterity, good hand-eye coordination, and attention to detail
  • The candidates should be able to handle physically demanding tasks and stand for extended periods

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should be accurate in their work, have a client focus, and be dependable
  • The candidates should have efficient interpersonal skills, interpersonal awareness, and be organized
  • The candidates should be a team player, have flexibility, and take initiative
  • The candidates should be reliable

Candidate Status:

  • Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
  • Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to ensure the information on prescriptions is accurate, maintain inventories of medications and pharmaceutical products, and maintain prescription records
  • The candidates should be able to enter client information in databases, manage routine office functions including reception, telephone, and booking appointments, and schedule and confirm appointments
  • The candidates should be able to help pharmacists, prepare medications for clients, and compound, package, and label pharmaceutical products
  • The candidates should be able to set up and dismantle equipment, prepare and maintain cleanliness of collection areas, and organize and maintain inventory
  • The candidates should be able to bill third party insurers and interpret physician’s specifications
