Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have completion of a High School Diploma
Experience: Candidates should have a minimum of 3 years of progressively responsible experience in transportation safety

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should have experience with the Traffic Safety Act, Commercial Vehicle Dimension and Weight Regulations, and Vehicle Equipment Regulation
  • The candidates should have directly related education or experience, 1 year of education for 1 year of experience and 1 year of experience for 1 year of education
  • The candidates should have experience with computer applications such as Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • The candidates should have strong interpersonal and communication skills, have experience with TRAVIS, TSIS, and MOVES and experience working in a call center environment

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to analyze permit applications to verify the need for a permit and determine the appropriate permit type
  • The candidates should be able to provide advice to clients or their agents if issues are identified in their permit applications
  • The candidates should be able to ensure data entry is accurate and complete for all permit-related records
  • The candidates should be able to effectively deal with clients regarding business-related inquiries and provide professional customer service
  • The candidates should be able to use detailed knowledge of the provincial highway system and trucking industry to select safe and practical routes for commercial vehicles
  • The candidates should be able to provide technical process support to TRAVIS Web users, agents, and municipal permit authorities
