Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have completed, or nearly completed, the CPA In-Depth Tax Course or graduated from the MTax program
Experience: Candidates should have Minimum of 4-7 years experience in Canadian income tax in a public accounting firm or industry setting

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should possess the ability to manage large volumes of tax compliance engagements
  • The candidates should demonstrate excellent people management, project management, and organizational skills
  • The candidates should demonstrate dedication and motivation to achieve high standards of client service and professionalism in the performance of duties
  • The candidates should provide persuasive and self-assured responses to challenging questions

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should instil enthusiasm in others to achieve desired results
  • The candidates should exhibit excellent client service skills with the ability to understand the client’s business and hold a Professional Accounting Designation
  • The candidates should emphasize quality and add value in their client offerings and services
  • The candidates should have the ability to adapt to new technologies that will be used in conjunction with other tools to complete tax compliance and provision deliverables

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to lead client engagements and guide engagement teams in addressing the compliance needs of clients, it includes reviewing working paper files, tax provisions, and income tax returns for corporate clients prepared by junior staff
  • The candidates should be able to conduct tax research and analysis as part of the tax provision and tax compliance process on various tax issues and collaborate with Managers, Senior Managers, and Partners across tax and other functions to develop a holistic business approach for client service
  • The candidates should be able to offer ongoing support and mentoring for the professional development of staff, they should also collaborate with other office members to attract new work to the group
  • The candidates should be able to provide technical and process feedback to technology professionals to contribute to the development of tax tools used during the tax compliance and provisions busy season
