Job Description:

Position: Medical office assistant
No of Vacancies: 1
Salary: $18.00 to $22.00 hourly (To be negotiated) for 10 to 25 hours per week
Employment Type: Permanent employment Full time
Location: Richmond, BC

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience although having experience is an asset
Computer and technology knowledge: Electronic medical records, switchboard 1-25 lines, electronic scheduler, electronic mail, MS Outlook, and MS Word

Candidate Status:

  • Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
  • Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
  • If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to greet people and direct them to contacts or service areas, as well as provide basic information to clients and the public
  • The candidates should be able to obtain and process information required to provide customer service, operate a switchboard or telephone system, and order office supplies
  • The candidates should be able to record and relay information, schedule and confirm appointments, and send invoices
  • The candidates should be able to maintain work records and logs, receive and issue payments, and perform clerical duties such as filing, sorting, and distributing mail
  • The candidates should be able to answer telephone calls and relay messages, calculate billing charges, and provide directory assistance
