Shift: Days, afternoons, nights, weekend and overtime

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have completion of 2 to 3 year Canadian College diploma in Industrial Controls or Automation
Experience: Candidates should have 1 year of experience in the relevant field

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should be self-learners

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should have experience programming and PLC troubleshooting and proven experience troubleshooting industrial control systems
  • The candidates should have experience in the implementation, integration, and calibration of instrumentation
  • The candidates should be able to create and maintain electrical prints in AutoCAD and knowledge of current safety standards and regulations
  • The candidates should have the ability to solve complex problems within a dynamic working environment
  • The candidates should have strong analytical skills with a proven history in solving complex problems and computer skills
  • The candidates should be able to solve unique problems, extending the boundaries of existing knowledge

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to act as a champion for the company’s culture by contributing to a positive and productive environment focused on the needs of the people
  • The candidates should be able to provide direct support for all automation deliverable actions to align with the Automation Strategy Plan and Operational Shift Support requirements
  • The candidates should be able to support a backup and disaster recovery plan for all plant Control and Automation systems, including PLC, PC, HMI, SCADA, Robotics, and Building Automation
  • The candidates should be able to support the Instrumentation program to meet all facility FSQA, regulatory, and operational requirements
  • The candidates should be able to support Predictive, Preventative, and Proactive maintenance requirements for Controls-related systems and follow the Facility Controls and Electrical build standard in alignment with Corporate Engineering standards
  • The candidates should be able to troubleshoot equipment in the plant locally or through VPN access when required and mentor team members to resolve equipment controls-related issues and work with Vendors and Suppliers to establish strong collaborative relationships
  • The candidates should be able to comfortable with the Escalation procedure and understand the requirement of receiving after-hours calls from time to time
  • The candidates should be able to work as part of a team on a rotating shift that covers days, afternoons, and nights, with the opportunity for weekend overtime as needed
  • The candidates should be able to manage and support the facility Building Automation System and maintain equipment-level network systems to align with Corporate IS protocols and requirements
