Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education:Â Candidates should have completion of a B.S. Nursing Degree (RN)
Experience: Candidates should have experience in Occupational Health, Primary Health Care, or Emergency Nursing
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be available for an on-site position and expect to fulfill on-call duties on a rotating schedule
- The candidates should be flexible to attend meetings, training, and conferences that may require occasional travel outside of Canada
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should have current registration and be in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario, a Certified Occupational Hearing Conservationist (COHC) certification
- The candidates should have a NIOSH-approved spirometry certification, an Adult CPR/AED certification
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to coordinate care for ill and injured workers by facilitating return-to-work assessments and fit-for-duty evaluations, engage with site and regional medical resources to support clinical activities such as medical triage, qualification assessments, and physician clinics
- The candidates should be able to conduct new hire post-offer health questionnaire reviews, physical assessments, and medical qualification testing
- The candidates should be able to work with third-party vendors to facilitate health services programs and resources based on business
- The candidates should be able to ensure compliance with occupational health programs and medical testing requirements as per OHSA, P&G Medical, and Industrial Health & Safety standards
- The candidates should be able to stay informed about the site’s chemical, biological, and physical hazards, participating in change management, safety reviews, and risk assessments
- The candidates should be able to promote a healthy workplace culture by providing health education and supporting wellness programs, manage occupational and non-occupational disability cases effectively
- The candidates should be able to ensure data confidentiality, privacy, and security for occupational health records while maintaining compliance with the company’s electronic medical records system
