Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates should have considerable experience in the relevant field

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should have a strong ability to solve problems and find solutions, following the guidelines and policies, be safety and security conscious and be eligible to work in Canada
  • The candidates should be able to obtain and maintain any applicable transportation security clearances and additional authorizations, as outlined by Transport Canada
  • The candidates should be available to work rotating shift patterns over a 24-hour period, including weekends and holidays and the ability to walk long distances and stand for extended periods
  • The candidates should be able to lift, push, and pull, and provide wheelchair assistance to customers with reduced mobility and demonstrate the ability to work within strict timelines to maintain on-time performance

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should be available to attend and successfully pass a five (5) to seven (7) week full-time paid training program and adhere to Air Canada’s attendance and grooming standards
  • The candidates should have previous customer service experience with strong interpersonal skills and have excellent communication and teamwork skills

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to conduct customer check-in and prepare and issue boarding passes
  • The candidates should be able to assist pre-boarding customers and provide information on flight schedules and routes
  • The candidates should be able to assist customers requiring special assistance throughout their journey, ensuring timely and safe transport to designated gates or baggage claims
  • The candidates should be able to actively move throughout the airport to attend to assigned work areas
