Shifts: Day and Overtime
Work setting: Various locations, commercial, industrial and institutional
Work site environment: Candidates should work at heights, dangerous and outdoors
Weight handling: Up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
Own tools/equipment: Candidates should have steel-toed safety boots
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates don’t need standard educational qualifications
Experience: Candidates need experience of 2 years to less than 3 years
Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses: Candidates must have Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate and Fall Arrest Protection Training Course
Physical Requirements:
- The candidate should be able to work overtime, under pressure, in fast-paced environment, handle heavy loads, perform repetitive tasks and also for bending, crouching, kneeling, large workload
- The candidate should be physically strong and also have hand-eye co-ordination
Other Requirements:
- The candidate should be reliable and also a team player
- The candidate should have specialization on conventional and inverted built-up system, modified roofing system, rigid pre-formed roofing system and also single ply sheet membrane roofing system
Responsibilities:
- The candidate should be able to apply waterproof coatings to concrete or other masonry surfaces below or above ground level
- The candidate should be able to install, repair or replace built-up roofing systems using materials such as asphalt saturated felts and hot asphalt and gravel and also install, repair or replace single-ply roofing system using waterproof sheet materials such as modified plastics, elastomeric or other asphaltic compositions
