Salary: $18.70 to $20.70 hourly (To be negotiated) for 30 to 40 hours per week
Employment Type: Permanent employment Full time – On the road job
Location: 391 St Peters Rd, Charlottetown, PE C1C 1G7, Canada
Shifts: Day, Evening, Night, Weekend, Early Morning, Morning
Transportation information: Driver’s abstract, Valid driver’s licence, Vehicle supplied by employer

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience although having experience is an asset
Type of experience: Tour and charter bus driver, Para-transit driver, Buses
Transportation/travel experience: Local, Provincial/territorial
Security and safety: Adult Abuse Registry check, Criminal record check, Driving record check (abstract), Medical exam

Physical Requirements:

• The candidates should have attention to detail and be able to thrive in a fast-paced environment, capable of working under pressure
• The candidates should be able to handle heavy loads while maintaining attention to detail and thriving in a fast-paced environment

Other Requirements:

• The candidates should have a client focus, possess efficient interpersonal skills, and demonstrate excellent oral communication
• The candidates should demonstrate flexibility, exercise good judgment, and be organized and reliable team players

Candidate Status:

• Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
• Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
• If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position

Responsibilities:

• The candidates should be able to collect fares, record transactions, report delays, mechanical problems, and accidents, and complete logbooks and reports
• The candidates should be able to load and unload vehicles, operate para-transit vehicles, and ensure para-transit passengers board the vehicle safely
• The candidates should be able to deal with the public, communicate with passengers, dispatchers, or other drivers using two-way radio systems, and perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections while overseeing all aspects of the vehicle
