Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have a post-secondary degree in a relevant discipline
Experience: Candidates should have experience with Big Data (i.e., Hadoop) to be  preferred

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should be able to coordinate and oversee the physical handling and transportation of goods within the Domestic Transportation department
  • The candidates should conduct regular inspections of transportation vehicles to ensure they meet safety standards and regulations
  • The candidates should manage the physical organization and layout of the warehouse, optimizing space and efficiency
  • The candidates should collaborate with logistics partners to coordinate the physical movement of products between distribution centers
  • The candidates should implement and enforce safety protocols to ensure the well-being of warehouse and transportation staff

Other Requirements:

  • The candidate should have expertise in Data Analytics with Relational Databases (i.e., SQL, Access)
  • The candidate should possess proficiency in Data Reporting & Visualization (i.e., Power BI, Tableau, Excel)
  • The candidate should be skilled at managing multiple tasks, setting and tracking their own milestones, and meeting deadlines
  • The candidate should have strengths in Mathematics and Statistics
  • The candidate should possess exceptional analytical, problem-solving, planning, and organizational skills combined with creative thinking
  • The candidate should have familiarity with project management, process analysis, and continuous improvement methodologies
  • The candidate should have knowledge of the Supply Chain/Transportation Industry, which is an asset

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to contribute to the identification, analysis, and recommendations of solutions (tools and processes)
  • The candidates should be able to work within a team environment to construct, test, and implement solutions
  • The candidates should be able to prepare presentations/findings on projects and activities
  • The candidates should be able to present findings, issues, and proposed solutions to various stakeholders
  • The candidates should be able to analyze various topics as assigned, from the simple to the complex, presenting findings, including key information and issues, as well as potential solutions
  • The candidates should be able to publish regular daily/weekly/monthly/quarterly reporting to various stakeholders, including Domestic Transportation teams & leadership, senior management, Mark’s & Sport Chek retail supply chain, and carrier partners
