Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should possess a degree (BA, BSc) or diploma in a Software Development, Science, or Engineering related discipline, delivered by a recognized learning institution
Experience: Candidates should have three or more years of experience in a senior development role, demonstrating the ability to provide technical leadership for medium to large-scale systems or implementations

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should be experienced in designing and delivering complex software solutions that are performant, scalable, and resilient
  • The candidates should have a proven ability to develop in-depth knowledge of integrated systems and technical components, being well-versed in architectural principles and key concepts, with a track record of promoting good architectural design and development practices
  • The candidates should be experienced in data management, including ingestion, integration, governance, modeling, and storage, with technical expertise in service architecture and other data integration patterns, API, and data query technologies
  • The candidates should have a solid understanding of data architecture and data management principles (e.g., ACID)
  • The candidates should be familiar with databases and their usages (e.g., NoSql vs. Relational) and cloud-based services such as those provided by Azure, GCP, and Amazon
  • The candidates should be familiar with architecture and integration patterns for high throughput data transfer
  • The candidates should have knowledge in CDP, DMP, CMP, CRM, and a general understanding of the use of audience behavioral signals
  • The candidates should be able to help solve technical issues, develop prototypes and proof of concepts, and demonstrate their ideas through working code
  • The candidates should be a technologist with a demonstrated ability to drive innovation and improvements, with the ability to learn and share knowledge on new technologies
  • The candidates should be problem solvers and good communicators who take ownership of the work they do, see problems as opportunities, and share new ideas. They should be dynamic individuals who love to learn and connect with others
  • The candidates should be strong leaders for a small development team (<6 developers), collaborative individuals able to work with other technical leaders, and effectively communicate and represent technical issues to product managers

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to play an important role as the Technical Architect of Audience Data within the Audience Data and Privacy team
  • The candidates should be able to assist in designing, shaping, and executing visions on audience signals for the CBC Digital Strategy & Products department
  • The candidates should be able to prioritize time-to-market, user satisfaction, and product reliability, performance, and resilience in building architecture practices
  • The candidates should be able to manage the integration and storage of audience signals and drive technical decisions related to customer data platforms
  • The candidates should be able to embody traits of an explorer, challenger, and trailblazer while adhering to sustainable, extensible, and holistic approaches
  • The candidates should be able to take accountability for technical decisions regarding products and services provided by the team
  • The candidates should be able to serve as the spokesperson for the platform, system, or technical components, leveraging deep knowledge and expertise
  • The candidates should be able to advise on complex technical and architectural issues, considering both functional and non-functional requirements
  • The candidates should be able to guide and support a team of 3-5 developers effectively
  • The candidates should be able to design, architect, and provide solutions for the product, system, or technical component managed by the team
  • The candidates should be able to take accountability for all technical aspects, including functional integrity, scalability, resilience, stability, and operational excellence
  • The candidates should be able to identify and address architectural issues that require broader consultation and review, while advocating for best practices in architecture and design
  • The candidates should be able to facilitate collaboration on technical issues within the team and drive better understanding of solutions
  • The candidates should be able to guide the implementation and continuous evolution of the product, ensuring quality, availability, and performance standards are maintained through appropriate metrics and measurements
  • The candidates should be able to ensure that features comply with regulatory, governance, and certification requirements set by industry standards and governing bodies
  • The candidates should be able to diagnose and resolve technical issues, optimize system performance, and develop reusable technical frameworks or assets to enhance the team’s capabilities
  • The candidates should be able to coordinate and support development activities such as estimation, coding, testing, debugging, and bug fixes
  • The candidates should be able to work with development teams to optimize the development process and ensure operational excellence
  • The candidates should be able to lead the design and implementation of various audience data initiatives, including support for SaS customer data platforms (CDP), consent management platforms (CMP), data management platforms (DMP), customer relationship management (CRM), and other segmentation and activation products
  • The candidates should be able to contribute to building robust and scalable solutions for data integration and distribution
