Shifts: Day, On Call
Transportation information: Valid driver’s license, and Own vehicle
Work setting: Associations and non profit organizations
Supervision: 3-4 people
Target audience: Adults, elderly, Females, Minority group, People with personal or social adjustment difficulty, Social assistance recipient, Abused adults
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 2 to less than 3 years
Social work specialization: Education and training, Health, Socio-economic needs or Conditions
Security and safety: Criminal record check, Vulnerable sector check
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be able to work under pressure and demonstrate attention to detail
- The candidates should be comfortable with a combination of sitting, standing, and walking, ensuring flexibility in their approach to tasks
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should have a client focus and demonstrate dependability in their interactions
- The candidates should possess efficient interpersonal skills, including excellent oral and written communication
- The candidates should exhibit flexibility and interpersonal awareness while exercising judgment in their actions
- The candidates should be organized, reliable team players who uphold values and ethics, demonstrating adaptability in their approach to tasks
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
- If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to conduct psychosocial assessments, interview clients individually or in groups to assess their situation and problems, and determine the types of services required
- The candidates should be able to evaluate the effectiveness of social programs, administer tests, and evaluate the effectiveness of counseling and patient outcomes
- The candidates should be able to perform administrative tasks, take authorized protective action when necessary, plan programs of assistance for clients, and refer clients to agencies that provide various services such as financial assistance, legal aid, housing, and medical treatment
