Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 7 months
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be able to thrive in a fast-paced environment and work effectively under pressure
- The candidates should have a strong attention to detail and be comfortable with a combination of sitting, standing, and walking
- The candidates should be able to stand for extended periods and be capable of bending, crouching, and kneeling as required
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should demonstrate accuracy in their work and possess excellent oral communication skills
- The candidates should exhibit flexibility in their approach to tasks and be team players
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
- If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to operate a cash register and process money, cheques, and credit/debit card payments
- The candidates should be able to scan items at the checkout and tabulate the total payment required for goods or services
- The candidates should be able to receive payment for goods or services from customers and calculate daily/shift payments received, reconciling them with total sales
- The candidates should be able to stock shelves, clean the counter area, and greet customers upon their arrival
- The candidates should be able to wrap or place merchandise in bags for customers and provide customer service as needed
- The candidates should be able to monitor all entrances and exits and request proof of payment when necessary, as well as participate in promotional activities to enhance sales
