Currency Mart Inc. based in Winnipeg, MB is inviting applications from suitable candidates for the position of Cashier, currency exchange. Currency Mart Inc. is one of the leading private currency exchange businesses in Canada, we have been in business for over a decade and handle over 40 million dollars in transactions a year. Since 2009, we completed more than 170,000 transactions, served more than 100,000 customers and exchanged more than 300 million dollars. we keep foreign banknotes in stock for most travel destination countries, so customers do not have to order and wait anymore, they can get the cash they need right the way. The candidates who will get selected for the vacancy will be required to start the work as soon as possible.

Salary: $16.00 to $19.00 hourly (to be negotiated) 32 to 36 hours per week
Employment Type: Permanent employment – Full time
Location: Winnipeg, MB
Shifts: Day, Evening, Night, Weekend, Shift, Flexible Hours
Transportation information: The candidates should have own transport
Work setting: Business office, Currency exchange booth, Retail business
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as college, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 2 years’
Computer and technology knowledge: Interact machine, Computerized inventory record keeping and re-ordering system, MS Excel
Security and safety: Criminal record check
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- The candidates should be able to work with attention to detail
Other Requirements:
- The candidate should be accurate and be able to work as a team player
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to process money, cheques and credit/debit card payments
- The candidates should be able to calculate daily/shift payments received and reconcile with total sales
- The candidates should be able to calculate foreign currency exchange
