- The candidates should have demonstrate comprehensive knowledge in delivering and managing corporate services in a large organization, preferably within the public or government sector
- The candidates should apply extensive knowledge of strategic planning, generally accepted accounting principles, financial and budgeting practices, financial analysis, and forecasting
- The candidates should have interpret and implement policies and government legislation relevant to corporate services, develop and execute business administration strategies, fiscal planning, and human resources management
- The candidates should exercise sound judgment and strategic decision-making while demonstrating superior organizational and leadership skills, utilize advanced analytical, problem-solving, facilitation, negotiation, and presentation skills
- The candidates should be formulate complex budgets, establish strategic goals, and implement long-range policies and programs, coordinate diverse areas of responsibility while ensuring quality, effectiveness, and adherence to deadlines
- The candidates should lead effectively in a rapidly changing environment while fostering a positive workplace culture and high levels of employee engagement
- The candidates should have demonstrate extensive managerial experience, preferably within a unionized public sector setting
- The candidates should have acquire and apply comprehensive knowledge of the Ontario Human Rights Code, including disability accommodation and accessibility requirements
- The candidates should possess a Master’s degree in business administration or a related field, with a recognized professional director’s designation
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to strategically plan, direct, and manage the Corporate Services Group to ensure efficient operations and service delivery, develop strategic goals and objectives for Corporate Services that align with the overall TTC direction and Corporate Plan
- The candidates should be able to oversee the development of policies, procedures, programs, guidelines, and standards that comply with legislation and support TTC’s best interests, ensure timely reporting of financial and performance results, highlighting any cost, security, safety, or human resources management concerns
- The candidates should be able to provide active leadership to Corporate Services staff, ensuring high-quality performance, customer service, and operational excellence
- The candidates should be able to ensure accountability at management levels by fostering technical and supervisory competence, succession planning, and talent development
- The candidates should be able to provide expert consultation and guidance on complex financial and administrative matters, foster professional working relationships with TTC staff, management, union officials, and external stakeholders
- The candidates should be able to ensure adherence to TTC policies and standards by all employees within Corporate Services, oversee and direct the development of an appropriate operating and capital budget
- The candidates should be able to design an effective Corporate Services organizational structure to support budget implementation and annual objectives
- The candidates should be able to monitor and adjust business activities to align with budget allocations and the best interests of the TTC
- The candidates should be able to ensure reports are prepared, reviewed, and analyzed to support planning, estimation, and cost control efforts
