Requirements:

Experience: Candidates should have at least 3 years of technical or operations experience in a large company preferably in the Transportation or Airline domain

Other Requirements:
- The candidates should possess a degree , and relevant experience commensurate with the role, formal Training in Document Management to be completed within 3 months of appointment, formal Training in SMS to be completed within 3 months of appointment, formal Training in Technical Writing, formal Training or Practical Experience with XML Schema, Transformation, and Stylesheet or CSS design and Formal Training in MS, Adobe, or other similar Document Production software
- The candidates should have or have held a management position (within an airline operational branch)
- The candidates should possess aviation experience in daily airline or airport operating procedures
- The candidates should demonstrate knowledge of Transport Canada regulations and standards (CARs), and similar foreign regulatory agency regulations and requirements FARs and JAR-Ops
- The candidates should have advanced technical document design and management skills, including the use of XSLT or CSS for outputting XML content to HTML, PDF formats
- The candidates should possess a range of business industry knowledge required for the position
- The candidates should demonstrate exceptional analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- The candidates should possess an investigative nature and be self-motivated and independent workers
- The candidates should have knowledge of User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and Quality Assurance (QA) testing
- The candidates should have knowledge of Database and Reporting Software and experience with implementing and managing KPIs
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to support the technical administration of the CDMS to ensure configurations and accessibility are correctly established and maintained
- The candidates should be able to manage the relationship between CDMS and Air Canada IT for required system configuration networking architecture
- The candidates should be able to implement and maintain effective workflows in compliance with defined business processes to engage users and ensure compliance source data IOSA and CARS is maintained to the latest industry standards and accessible to Document Owners
- The candidates should be able to solicit user feedback and compile stakeholder expectations into user stories for collaboration with the vendor on potential solutions and conduct requirement and systems analysis and translate business requirements effectively
- The candidates should be able to provide support for business analysis and contribute to technology or business integration efforts and communicate analysis results and make recommendations to relevant stakeholders clearly
- The candidates should be able to conduct quality assurance and regression testing for each system version evolution to preserve data and product validity and and monitor progress on product enhancements and projects, including prioritization of deliverables
- The candidates should be able to provide ongoing support to end-users and vendors, including troubleshooting issues, providing training, and guidance and and maintain a reliable and performant job control database for work tracking and reporting
- The candidates should be able to work closely with cross-functional teams and suppliers to gather information or feedback and communicate updates effectively and and update technical documents, flowcharts, and procedures accurately
- The candidates should be able to participate actively in technical meetings and working groups and function as the technical backup to the Manager, Document Process and Control proficiently
