Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have high school degree
Experience: Candidates should have 6 months to 2 years of experience
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should be bilingual at an intermediate level (in Quebec Only)
- The candidates should have basic knowledge in Customs operations, laws, and regulations, as well as other government departments
- The candidates should possess a basic understanding of the HS system
- The candidates should have basic computer skills
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to process customs clearance (release) and/or confirm declarations for repetitive and non-complex shipments guided by the CCBS system and personal skills
- The candidates should be able to interact with various clients (Internal/External) including Import operations, Support Services, Consulting, Inbound services, Sales, etc., as well as all customs clients and partners
- The candidates should be able to perform specific outputs or services such as customs release and/or confirm declarations for repetitive and non-complex shipments using client profiles in the CCBS system (creating or modifying line code/classification)
- The candidates should be able to handle delivery service and/or import permits requests if required, and gather and send proper documentation to the government
- The candidates should be able to perform data entry tasks, including opening customers’ files, validating information, and managing credit and invoicing
- The candidates should be able to collect supplementary information or documentation from customers, drivers, customs, and other offices when required
- The candidates should be able to identify discrepancies in customer profiles
- The candidates should be able to answer standard questions and requests from customers, drivers, customs, and other offices
- The candidates should be able to work as a team member with other actors, including clients, UPS SCS employees, carriers, and inbound agents
