Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should have the ability to work effectively with different personality types and all levels of associates
- The candidates should be legally permitted to work in Canada
- The candidates should have a working understanding of safe load securement, tie downs, and transport
- The candidates should have the ability to adapt to unforeseen circumstances, including weather and traffic
- The candidates should be able to work independently
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should have a working knowledge of handheld technology (smartphone, laptop, tablet, applications)
- The candidates should have a working knowledge and understanding of Motor Carrier Safety regulations and Ministry guidelines
- The candidates should demonstrate a strong work ethic
- The candidates should have experience in the equipment rental industry (mechanical, driving, customer service, etc.)
- The candidates should possess a valid G Driver’s License and maintain a good driving record
- The candidates should have the ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, troubleshoot, and draw valid conclusions
- The candidates should possess basic knowledge of compact construction equipment, including trenching and earthmoving machinery
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to operate trucks and trailers for local deliveries and pick-ups of large rental equipment, to and from stores and/or customer jobsites
- The candidates should be able to load and unload equipment on trailers, including properly securing and tie-down of equipment
- The candidates should be able to utilize the company technology platform to document all work performed
- The candidates should be able to complete proper check-in and check-out procedures for equipment at store/rental locations
- The candidates should be able to accurately follow the entire rental process, including obtaining required signatures on rental contracts
- The candidates should be able to assist with the deployment of new equipment to store locations and auction sites, as well as delivering equipment to the store
- The candidates should be able to perform daily pre-trip/post-trip inspections on company assets
- The candidates should be able to learn and demonstrate high-quality customer service standards for delivery service
- The candidates should be able to maintain professionalism in appearance, dress, personal conduct, and provide a positive company image
- The candidates should be able to train and demonstrate correct and safe operation of equipment to customers and associates
- The candidates should be able to remain current on local licensing, assigned training, Electronic Logging Device (ELD) and safety requirements
- The candidates should be able to maintain Mobile Elevated Work Platform (MEWP) certifications (Training is provided by Home Depot)
- The candidates should be able to perform other duties as assigned by the Regional Rental Manager (RRM), Branch Manager, Field Operations Rental Manager, or authorized personnel
