Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates don’t need standard educational qualification such as degree, certificate or diploma
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience although having experience is an asset
Credentials: Housekeeping room attendant certification, and Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate
Security and safety: Criminal record check, Vulnerable sector check, and Reference required

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should be non-smokers
  • The candidates should demonstrate the ability to work independently and thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • The candidates should be capable of working effectively under pressure and meeting tight deadlines, as well as handling repetitive tasks efficiently
  • The candidates should be physically capable of performing demanding tasks and pay close attention to detail in their work
  • The candidates should be able to bend, crouch, and kneel as required, and be comfortable with a combination of sitting, standing, and walking
  • The candidates should be able to sit for extended periods as necessary, comfortable standing for extended periods, and able to walk as part of their duties
  • The candidates should also be able to handle weights of up to 13.5 kg (30 lbs)

Candidate Status:

  • Canadian citizens and permanent or temporary foreign workers of Canada are eligible for this position

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors, dust furniture, vacuum carpeting, area rugs, draperies, and upholstered furniture, and make beds and change sheets
  • The candidates should be able to distribute clean towels and toiletries, stock linen closet, clean, disinfect, and polish kitchen and bathroom fixtures and appliances, and pick up debris and empty trash containers
  • The candidates should be able to launder clothing and household linens, mend clothing and linens, and perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties
  • The candidates should be able to shop for food and household supplies, wash windows, walls, and ceilings, and clean changing rooms and showers
