Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have completion of a two (2) year Architectural Technology or Interior Design Technology diploma from a recognized institute of technology or educational equivalent
Experience: Candidates should have Two (2) years in architectural residential drafting experience or two (2) years of progressively responsible drafting experience
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should have the ability to use drafting software (AutoCad, Revit, and Apex)
- The candidates should possess knowledge of construction procedures and surveying practices
- The candidates should have the ability to understand detailed plans and specifications
- The candidates should demonstrate effective communication and customer service skills
- The candidates should be able to understand and execute oral and written instructions
- The candidates should be capable of expressing ideas and concepts effectively, orally and in writing and possess the ability to establish and maintain effective working relations as necessitated by work assignments
- The candidates should have familiarity with Google Workspace and demonstrate service excellence, embracing diversity, and promoting inclusiveness

Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to provide drafting services for the Assessment and Taxation Branch, critical for supporting the development of fair and accurate property assessments
- The candidates should be able to interpret and convert blueprints/plans to APEX sketch building drawings for residential property assessment purposes, as well as for non-residential property assessment purposes (commercial, industrial, retail, special and purpose)
- The candidates should be able to respond to and prioritize incoming work from queues and manage cyclical increases to regular work volumes
- The candidates should be able to update existing drawings of buildings under construction at various stages, up to 100% complete, and document current drafting practices
- The candidates should be able to initiate and complete improvements to work manuals or processes, including documentation, and test and/or upgrade TACS modules as they relate to Apex software
