Salary: $18.00 to $30.00 hourly (To be negotiated) for 40 hours per week
Employment Type: Permanent employment Full time
Location: Vancouver, BC
Shifts: Day, Evening, Weekend, On Call, Flexible Hours, To be determined, Early Morning, Morning
Transportation information: Willing to travel cross-border, valid driver’s licence, and ability to drive a manual transmission vehicle
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 2 years
Security and safety: Driving record check (abstract)
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should thrive in a fast-paced environment, excelling in tasks that require quick and efficient work, and be adept at handling tight deadlines for timely completion of assignments
- The candidates should be physically fit to manage the demands of a physically demanding work environment and capable of handling heavy loads with precision and care
- The candidates should demonstrate a keen attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in all aspects of their work
- The candidates should be capable of lifting up to 45 kg (100 lbs)
Candidate Status:
- Canadian citizens and permanent or temporary foreign workers of Canada are eligible for this position
- International Candidates who don’t have a valid Canadian work permit also can apply
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to operate and drive automobiles, vans, and light trucks to pick up and deliver various items and products, receive and relay information to central dispatch, and load and unload goods
- The candidates should be able to assemble, install, and set up merchandise/products, transport and handle dangerous goods, and use maps and other trip planning aids
- The candidates should be able to record trip information such as vehicle mileage, fuel costs, and any problems, perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections, and oversee all aspects of the vehicle
- The candidates should be able to keep a record of items received and delivered, provide customer service, follow directions, and read maps
