Salary: $20.00 to $24.00 hourly (To be negotiated) for 35 to 40 hours per week

Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience although having experience is an asset
Credentials: Child development assistant (ECE level 1)
Security and safety: Criminal record check
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be attentive to detail and capable of a combination of sitting, standing, and walking
- The candidates should be proficient in bending, crouching, and kneeling while remaining attentive to detail

Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to bathe, diaper, and feed infants and toddlers, while guiding and assisting children in the development of proper eating, dressing, and toilet habits
- The candidates should be able to engage in storytelling activities, lead diverse activities such as telling stories, teaching songs, and taking children to local points of interest, and support early childhood educators in promoting the overall development of children
- The candidates should be able to assist early childhood educators or supervisors in keeping records, maintaining daycare equipment, and participating in housekeeping and cooking duties
- The candidates should be able to actively engage children in various activities like telling stories, teaching songs, and preparing crafts, while observing them for signs of potential learning or behavioral problems and preparing reports for parents, guardians, or supervisors
- The candidates should be able to submit written observations on children to early childhood educators or supervisors, discuss progress and problems of children at staff meetings, and possess knowledge of licensing regulations
- The candidates should be able to assess the abilities, interests, and needs of children, discuss progress or problems with parents and other staff members, and attend staff meetings to collaboratively address the progress and problems of children
- The candidates should be able to establish and maintain collaborative relationships with co-workers and community service providers working with children, as well as plan and maintain an environment that protects the health, security, and well-being of children
